This course enables you to follow a healthy lifestyle by developing an understanding of how the body works and the importance of good diet, exercise and relaxation.

You will learn about the human body, how it works and what that means for maintaining a good weight and good health generally through a balanced diet, exercise and relaxation techniques.

Teaching is practical and various games, exercises and quizzes are used to make learning fun. You will also learn techniques for hand, foot, neck and shoulder massage.  Music is used as an aid to relaxation.

You will practice these  techniques on each other and also, possibly, provide a simple service or demonstration at Scotts fetes. This course will helps you to develop important skills and give you greater independence, including:

  • Recognition of healthy food and balanced diet
  • Understanding other people and emotions
  • Working with other people and managing relationships
  • Listening skills
